The Autism Alliance of the Concho Valley was founded in November 2015 by a very small group of passionate and dedicated volunteers. AACV was briefly adopted as a program of The Arc of San Angelo. Now, we have our own 501(c)3 entitled Possibilities of the Concho Valley, because we believe the possibilities for our children are endless.
Our aim is to provide support, community events, training, networking and technology in order to help meet the specific needs of children and adults with autism, as well as their families within the Concho Valley.
Our hope is to foster a sense of community cohesion through support and most importantly respect and accommodation for those on the Autism Spectrum.
Our future goals include greater opportunities through the use of a Sensory Mobile Room. Sensory overload can impede participation in community activities for the entire family. The Sensory Mobile Room will be equipped for those who simply need a break from an activity. This accommodation will allow the entire family to remain at community activities, such as the rodeo, carnival, POPs concert and so much more.
